We have a passion to empower God’s people as they seek the kingdom and live into their destiny as a worshiping family that makes disciples and extends the dominion of God wherever they go. Currently we are shepherding a local collection of multiplying households of faith in Colorado Springs called Kindred Collective, as well as serving on the oversight teams for several other churches.

We live with our three children near Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs where we enjoy our backyard garden, art studio, and many evenings of food and laughter. We enjoy being submitted to the care of an oversight team in the Pauline tradition and we operate The Blackthorn Project, our 501c3 nonprofit organization, under the oversight of our board of directors.

TIM THORNTON

Tim’s favorite smells are old acoustic instruments, sawdust, wood smoke, fish slime, and coffee about to be sipped before dawn on a road trip. Tim is a visual artist, worshipper and musician, and a seeker and articulator of the kingdom of God. Tim enjoys not being in a hurry. He enjoys proverbs and one-liners of wisdom from the scripture, and facilitating moments of ministry where the power of God is invited and paradigms shift, whether in front of a fellowship, at a retreat, or with new and old friends over excellent food or by a crackling fire.

LAURIE THORNTON

To Laurie, there is hardly anything more fun than dirt under her fingernails from a long day in her flower and vegetable gardens, though she’ll never turn down an invitation to fly-fish on the river with Tim or a hike with their three young kids. Mostly, her days are spent homeschooling, enjoying her children at their young ages, and having her house full of family and friends. Shamelessly and completely in love with Jesus, she treasures her life of family on mission with Tim and longs to see people break out of fear, shame, and guilt and into the full life of Christ. She moves in the prophetic and has a special anointing to ignite joy and hope in the hearts of others.
