We’ve been playing music together since we met, and up until 2015, our primary vocation was sharing the stories of our inner life with God through song: worship leading/songwriting, playing small house concerts, hosting festivals and retreats, etc. We have made 2 albums together as The Blackthorn Project and 1 album that we released simply as Tim and Laurie Thornton. We have also taken great joy in contributing to other projects, like Enter the Worship Circle: Fourth Circle and Josh Garrels’ beautiful album Love and War and the Sea in Between. Most recently, our musical pursuits have returned to our roots: raucous bluegrass jams with friends.
